Every business starts somewhere. Ours started with a poodle who was afraid of other dogs.
His name was Jojo. He was small, fluffy, and painfully shy around other animals. At the dog park, while other dogs ran and played, Jojo would stay close to my legs, watching from a safe distance. He didn't need a crowd. He needed one good friend.
So I decided to give him one.
I made Jojo a companion — a small, handcrafted figure that looked just like him. I chose the right color of pipecleaner, matched the texture of his fur, and tried to capture that slightly nervous, slightly curious expression he always had. When I placed it next to him, Jojo sniffed it carefully. Then he settled down beside it and fell asleep.
That was the moment PetyChery was born.

From One Poodle to Thousands of Pets

What started as a solution for a shy dog became something I never expected — a way for people to hold onto the pets they loved.
The first orders came from pet owners who simply wanted a replica of their current companion. A birthday gift. A travel buddy. Something to leave at home so their dog wouldn't feel so alone.
But slowly, the messages changed.
"My cat passed away last month. Can you make her?"
"My daughter lost her rabbit. She hasn't stopped crying. Could you help?"
"He was with me for 14 years. I just need something to hold."
I realized this was no longer just about cute keepsakes. Every order carried a story. Every photo sent to us was someone's most treasured memory. Every package we shipped was, in some way, a small piece of healing.

Why Handmade Matters

In a world where everything can be mass-produced in 48 hours, we choose to work slowly and by hand.
Each PetyChery replica is made from pipe cleaners, wool, and high-quality materials — not because it's the easiest method, but because it allows us to shape, bend, and adjust every detail until it feels right. The curve of an ear. The angle of a tail. The way a cat holds its paws when it's relaxed.
No machine can replicate that. No algorithm can feel the difference between a dog who always tilted its head left and one who tilted it right.
We can. Because we take the time to look.

What We Believe
